Arbio I Lax Cozy Studio near Karl-Heine-Strasse

Beautiful flat and area, excellent transport into city centre Positive: The location was wonderful. Vibrant but not noisy at night, plenty to do (bars, restaurants, supermarkets, canal). Great tram connection to the city centre. The apartment had a lovely balcony with a view over gardens and the whole place was very clean and modern. Negative: Acquiring the keys was like taking part in a reverse escape room or the Crystal Maze. First, the strange numbering of the houses led me to the wrong building (not the host's fault, but they may wish to inform clients of this). As I had no internet access on my phone that only uses WiFi, I had ended up having to call the host call centre about 5 times, speaking to different operators, each having insufficient information and training in how to describe something blindly over the phone. Exhausting. The tea- and coffee-making equipment was lamentable. Cups and French press too big to fit under the coffee machine spout; no instructions for the coffee machine (I had to look online); only found an open coffee packet in the porch area shared with the adjacent apartment so didn't bother; water from coffee machine hot but not boiling, making tea pretty naff. Bedding was clean but the mattress was very thin, so I could feel the slats. Curtain only next to the bed; the other two windows let anyone see in when you've got the lights on at night. Even a non-frosted window in the shower area, meaning if you take a shower at night, you could be seen from outside, unless you stand right next to the shower screen.

Schlichtes Apartment an lauter Straße mit wenig Abdunklungsmöglichkeiten Positive: Das Zimmer war in Ordnung. Sauber, groß, Handtücher vorhanden. Negative: Es war sehr laut zur Straße hin und auch nach hinten raus. Die Zimmer konnten nicht richtig abgedunkelt werden. Es war sehr warm und die mobile Klimaanlage sehr laut. Würde ich mit Kindern nicht wieder buchen, allein oder als Paar okay, wenn man nicht so viel Ruhe braucht und was erleben will. Der Kundenservice ist sehr schlecht per Email zu erreichen.
